MultiMedia DVD Available to Promote Safe Boating

2006 saw the Canadian Safe Boating Council hosting the 2006 Safe Boating Awareness Week. In Quebec , the Campaign took place a week later. Each member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary was invited to play a pivotal role in getting the Safe Boating message to the public.

The Canadian Save Boating Council (CSBC) worked with the CCGA National Office to create a Volunteer Kit, available on DVD and from the CSBC Web Site. The DVD was inserted in the latest issue of The Auxiliarist. It contains materials covering several of the key areas of safe boating practices with a focus on education and training for all boaters. It also includes the items members will need for orientation as well as material to provide to the local community newspaper, radio and television. This material can be used to promote Boating Safety on a continuing basis.
