The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary has been awarded a 2006 MarCom Creative Award. MarCom is an international competition for marketing and communications professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs.
The CCGA National Office received one Platinum Award, the highest MarCom recognition, for its kiosq being used at trade shows and other public events such as the ISAR Competition. The CCGA also received an Honorable Mention at the Competition for its National Web Site which was presented with a Certificate of Excellence from the Canadian Web Awards earlier this year.
This year, MarCom chose from over 5000 entries judged by industry professionals looking for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. On average, only the top 15 percent of entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry, receive awards.
MarCom Creative Awards program is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets evaluation standards for the competition.
