CCGA C&A Members Receive CASBA Awards

Two Safe Boating Awards were presented at the 2007 CASBA Awards Night, held on Sunday, January 14th, in recognition of members of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, Central and Arctic Region.

The crew of the CCGA Vessel Baitfish, Steve Lightfoot, Phil Eagleson and Glen Goodale received the CASBA Award for the CPS Rescue of the Year for 2006. (Click here for a description of the SAR tasking)

Also, Leslie Reading, Vice President, Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliarys Central and Arctic Region was presented with the CASBA Top Volunteer Dedicated to Safe Boating award for 2006. (Click here for a profile of Les Reading)

The crew of the Baitfish and Les Reading are amongst those exemplifying the good work of the CCGA.
