SARSCENE 2007, the sixteenth annual search and rescue conference, will be held in Victoria, British Columbia, October 17-20, 2007. The conference is organized by the National Search and Rescue Secretariat, and co-hosted by the British Columbia Provincial Emergency Program with the assistance of the British Columbia Search and Rescue Association.
As Canadas leading national forum on search and rescue, SARSCENE is a unique opportunity for members of the SAR community to come together and share their expertise. SARSCENE includes four days of activities such as: presentations, demonstrations, a tradeshow, SAR games, training sessions and an awards banquet.
Over 650 delegates from air, land and marine organizations across Canada, and around the world attended last years conference. Highlighted this year will be demonstrations on search and rescue in Western Canada, and presentation themes will include: SAR partnerships; SAR technologies and techniques; equipment interoperability; and marine, air and ground SAR cooperation.
